Hosting a WorldCrafts Event
Hosting a WorldCraftsSM event is among the most rewarding experiences a hostess can have. Spend quality time with friends, raise awareness of a wonderful cause, and help lift people out of poverty all at the same time.
A WorldCrafts event or party can be as simple or elaborate as you choose. Before planning your event, consider these simple steps:
- Examine your daily planner, and then pick several time and place options. Then choose the one that works best with your church schedule or family calendar. Click here for an event ideas pdf.
- Get a little help from your friends. Recruit a committee or a few friends to help you plan, cook, organize, and publicize. An event is not something you want to do alone.
- Publicize! Through invitations, bulletin announcements, flyers, or verbal announcements from the pulpit, you can ensure that every potential attendee knows about your event.
- Pick a theme. African safari? World traveler? International holiday? South American fiesta? Build your theme to be as simple or elaborate as you like.
- Do as much planning and work ahead of time as you can . . . and on the day of your party, relax and have fun!
We hope you'll catch a vision for the endless possibilities that WorldCrafts events can be!

WorldCrafts Catalog 2007-08
The Fall/Winter WorldCrafts Catalog contains ideas for events, a prayer calendar, artisan stories, product information, activities, and a world map. This 48-page color catalog is organized by categories to make finding that special gift easier than ever.
If you are already a pro at hosting events, this Web site and the catalog may be all you need! If you want to make planning an event easy take a look at our Hostess Guide.
WorldCrafts catalogs are free by calling 1-800-968-7301. However, we need your help with our non-profit budget! Here are some guidelines to help you plan before you order:
- Avoid mass distribution of catalogs through registration bags or mass mailings. Trust us: they'll only be thrown away!
- Do provide a limited number of catalogs with product displays at church bazaars or conferences-one quarter of your projected attendance is a good bet.
- Do personally give a catalog to event attendees of small- to medium-sized events.
- Do provide a limited number of catalogs for your church magazine rack or church office.
