Two years ago, Village Artisans started a business among the Ansari people of India. The Ansari are famous all across India for their traditional handcraft expertise. They make hand-made paper, produce soap, and weave.
The people live in villages and crowded towns and struggle to provide food and education for their children. The artisans receive a fair wage and have dependable salaries for the whole year. Also, they have access to medical care for their whole family and school for their children.
